Eric,
Your posting is so timely that I am giving a copy to a friend who is coming
over tonight for "Bridge night".
She runs a similar network of Microvaxes in our local hospital and the system
is driving her and all the users crazy by exactly the same afflictions as to
what you have described. The sad part is that she has no other options; she is
religiously married to DEC and dislikes UNIX and Microsoft products.
