SPECIAL SYMPOSIUM, THURSDAY 18 APRIL 1996

International Society for Analytical Cytology
Rimini, Italy, April 14-19, 1996
Ecological and Environmental Applications of
Analytical Cytology.
Abstracts are invited for lecture presentations addressing research
advances in non-human cytology. Two parallel programs are planned to
highlight important work in the themes of interest listed below.

ABSTRACTS ACCEPTED FOR THIS SYMPOSIUM WILL HAVE TO BE
SUBMITTED IN HARD COPY TO THE ISAC SOCIETY OFFICE FOLLOWING
THE GUIDELINES PUBLISHED IN THE PRE-PROGRAM BOOK ( WILL
REACH ISAC MEMBERS IN EARLY AUGUST
) AND ALSO PUBLISHED IN CYTOMETRY. DEADLINES FOR THE
HARDCOPY ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED AS WELL.
Topics:
I. General plant, animal and microbial physiology, taxonomy,
genetics and population characteristics dynamics, examined either in
the laboratory or in situ.
II. Cytometric biomarkers of environmental stress in indicator
organisms, as such analytic methods now exist or may be under
development for purposes of bio-dosimetry and ecological and
environmental risk assessment.
Research topics of basic and applied studies utilizing cell
reparations from plants, laboratory animal models, sentinel and
surrogate indicator (e.g. annelids, piscine, amphibian and warm
blooded vertebrate) species and in wildlife are sought for this
program.

Abstracts not accepted for the Symposium may be submitted to the ISAC
office for poster presentation and publication in the ISAC Congress
supplement. Please follow the ISAC Congress guidelines for abstract
submission.
