There must be *very few* labs in the world still actively using pdp11s
for data acquisition; ours is one of them. While we haven't actually
*used* the floppy drive for a long time, we still have it. *Our*
solution to this data transfer problem was an ethernet card and
"TCPware" from Process Software. If you are looking for a long-term
solution Kirk, I think this is it. If it is a one-off exercise for a
small number of disks for which that hardware and software cost is too
high, you may need to find a similar system to do the transfers. If
the latter is the case and no better solutions present themselves, you
can mail us the disks and we'll be happy to help (I am presuming yours
is an RT11 system!).
We *are* a long way away! You may like to wait a while in case of an
offer closer to home.
