In the past, when someone needed e.g. HPPCLINK.CODE, we had to snail
mail a diskette. Recently, four different facilities requested this
(and I was being unconscionably slow to get around to it). If there is
still anyone out there using an HP 310 Pascal 3.1 computer who wants to use
the free HPPCLINK software to transfer list mode files through the GPIB
IEEE-488 bus to a PC (where you can use WinMDI, MFI, etc.), now you can get
all the necessary software from the Catalog of Free Flow Cytometry Software
at http://www.bio.umass.edu/mcbfacs/flowcat.html. You will need a GPIB
IEEE-488 card for your PC, about $500. National Instruments is one source
for the card and gives excellent technical support, www.natinst.com.
Or you could ask if some folks out there have retired their HP's and have a
spare card to donate for the cost of shipping.
