Is anyone out there working with NIH athymic nu/nu nude mice. Apparently
these mice are of mixed and indeterminate heritage (balb-c x unknown).
Specifically we want to know 1)if the NK cells of these mice bare the NK1.1
antigen and 2) what is the MHC-1 allotype of this strain. Surprisingly, this
information was not available from the supplier of the mice!
Also, in lieu of using NK1.1 it was recommended that we identify the NK
cells by their CD2+ CD11b+ phenotype. Does anyone have other suggestions?
What happened to the asialo-GM1 marker that was used as a mouse NK marker?
Does it now have a CD designation?
