STAINING FIXED PLATELETS

Has anyone had success in staining fixed platelets with a p-selectin marker (eg. S12-FITC
or CD62)? Becton Dickinson claims that it can be done using 1% paraformaldehyde
fixation. I have followed their protocol for activation (substituting PMA for ADP) and
fixation. I have been able to stain fixed platelets with a pan-platelet marker (10E5 and
CD42a) but not the p-selectin markers. (All markers perform successfully on unfixed
platelets.) Any insights?
