Synchronicity

Greetings,
A researcher here has a slow growing hepetocellular carcinoma cell line, he
wishes to synchronize in G0/G1. I haven't noticed much of a change in the
cell cycle (staining with PI), even though he treated with mimosine at a
concentration of 300uM for 20 hours. The "baseline" (untreated) cycle is
approx. 30 percent in G2/M. I suggested varying concentrations and incubation
times, but a concern is the toxicity of the treatment to the cells. The
protocol he has been trying to follow is FEBS Letters vol. 318, number 2,
1993. I would appreciate if anyone had any other ideas or literature sources.

Cheers,
