Unfortunately the whole world is not hooked up to the World Wide Web. FDA
being what it is has not seen fit to hook all us lab types up to WWW. Only
the reviewer types who are in an office about 9 miles away have access. I'm
sure there are some others like me out there, who have E-mail, but no WWW
access.

Could someone summarize the changes from FCS2.0 to FCS3.0 file format and post
them to the Cytometry Bulletin Board?

Are we all going to need another file conversion program of some type to be
able to change FCS2.0 to FCS3.0 format?

Sure would be nice to be able to explain to the bean counters why we need the
kind of money that the new software packages often cost that are required to
run these new formats. Certainly would be nice to start preparing the
moneymen for how much it might cost to change from 2.0 to 3.0. I had to roll
the last change into an equipment upgrade in order to swing it. I have 3
workstations, and even with the price of the second and third copy being less
than the first, software runs a big bundle!!!!!!

Am I naive or is/was there some major deficiency with the FCS 2.0 format?
Please educate me?
