1) Annual Flow Cytometry course held each
June. This year it was held at Bowdoin College in Maine and next year it
will be at Los Alamos in New Mexico, and back to Maine again in 98 and
so on. You can get information about the course from Mark Munson or
Bruce Bagwell at Verity Software Phone 207 729 6767 X105 e-mail
verity@vsh.com or from Ruby Archuleta at Los Alamos 505-667-2750
e-mail rra@telomere.lanl.gov.
2) Bruce Milthorpe <brucem@gsbme.unsw.edu.au>
Bruce runs a short basics of flow cytometry course for his post-graduates.
It runs over 7 weeks of 3 hours per week.
3) Douglas E. Swartzendruber <dswartze@brain.uccs.edu>
"The current plan is to have a course in January;
I will forward you more detailed information in the next couple of weeks.
The course is 4 1/2 days, and is designed for the "beginner" in flow
cytometry."

4) Someone did _not_ recommend BD's course.
5) I highly recommend the Annual Clinical Course in Flow Cytometry (10 th
next summer, I assume). Despite being geared towards clinical work, as a
graduate student, I learned many useful aspects about flow cytometry, from
the basics to cutting edge scientific research. We used all kinds of
instruments & software and heard a variety of lectures.
