Good CV's for DNA Histograms

Could anyone tell me the trick to get good C.V.s for DNA histograms. The
cell line I am using is the T-hybridoma DO11.10. I stain with P.I. using
Vindelov's procedure. I always get G1 peaks with C.V.s of 4.0 to 5.0. I
want them tighter!! I also notice that the S phase is "fat" and little to
no G2/M peak. Any suggestions? (I use argon excitation @ 30 mW and
emission @ 690 nM.

Thanks!
