MO direct storage

Mattias,

I thought it important to add to this discussion a word of caution
regarding collecting listmode data files directly to 230MB MOs. My understanding
is from BDIS that with 230MB Fujitsu drives, and with the APS drives we use, once
the throughput is high enough - data *may* become corrupted during the writes to
the MO drive. In our facility, I've only seen this once since nearly
everyone does remember to setup storage to the local SCSI hard drive, and to archive
the folder and contents after acquisition. Fortunately, the user immediately
noticed the error and recollected the data files. Ugly. This kind of thing is
rate dependent and won't always show up until some threshold is exceeded.

Regards,

Joe
